Interior Design is an artform. It is a skill as great as any painter or sculptor. And the successful formula of a great interior designer is to use all their skills, their tools and their knowledge of the industry, and its suppliers, then combine that with a good knowledge and understanding of their clients’ needs. The result of this is a magical space for you. Lea listens. She spends a long time listening to your ideas, your dreams and your needs. And she takes it all in and comes up with options that will work for you. Lea doesn’t create the space that ‘she’ wants, she creates the space that ‘you’ want. And at the end of the day when the trades’ people are gone, you are the one who has to live in it. Lea knows that.

What I learnt from working with Lea is that whether you are re-designing or re-decorating just one room or a whole house, you can create your dreams with the support of excellent craftspeople. Lea has the ability to see spaces differently than most people do. She is willing to take risks, and suggest more creative options. Lea is not a ‘double-spanish white throughout’ designer who adds colourful cushions at the end. Lea thinks outside the square. And surprises you with ideas that you will love. And if for some strange reason you don’t then she’ll happily go back to the drawing board and come up with something different. Lea spent time getting to know us all, looking at how we live, and working out how to colour and decorate the spaces in our house to suit everyones needs and to inspire us every day. The result is a welcoming space which is lively and restorative all at the same time. And we have a plan for the whole house. To complete as and when it suits, but in harmony with the other rooms we have already done.

The bottom line is that I wouldn’t have been brave enough to do this myself. I could have done a reasonable job but Lea did a stunning job. And the blessing was that working with Lea opened up all my creative channels and gave me permission to dream and play. That was priceless. And Lea is as beautiful as her work. She is a fine model for her trade. Thank you Lea.
